Part: V Collaboration and Integration > Using Word for E-mail

Hour 22. Using Word for E-mail

Word has powerful e-mail capabilities that make it a snap to compose and send e-mail from the Word window. One advantage of using Word for e-mail is that you don't have to leave the Word window to tell your e-mail program to send a message. Another advantage is that if you create e-mail messages in Word, you can make full use of Word features such as automatic spell and grammar checking, AutoCorrect, tables, and bulleted and numbered lists. In this hour, you learn three ways to use Word for e-mail.

The highlights of this hour include

  • Understanding the system requirements for sending e-mail from Word

  • Sending an e-mail message from Word

  • Sending a Word document as an e-mail message

  • Sending a Word document as an attachment to an e-mail message

  • Sending any document as an e-mail attachment
