Hour 17. Inserting Sound and Movies > Introducing the WAV File

Introducing the WAV File

At the very end of the previous hour, we attached a short audio file to an Action button as a Mouse Over event. But because we selected one of the Microsoft Office clip audio tracks, we never really saw the file type. At this point, do the following:

1.
Open the Action Buttons toolbar.

Select the second to the last button: Play Sound. (Refer to Figure 16.1 in the previous hour.)

3.
Drag out the button.

4.
Use the Play Sound drop-down menu to select Other Sound, as shown in Figure 17.2.

Browse to C:\Windows\Media, as shown in Figure 17.2.

6.
Notice all the familiar Windows sounds, and attach one to the button.

7.
Take a look at the file type: WAV.

8.
Click OK.

9.
Test the slide and button in full-screen slideshow.
