Summary

The use of one or more images in our slides gives us a lot of versatility—we can show people, places, and objects that add vibrancy to our slideshow. In this hour, we learned how PowerPoint distinguishes between clip art images (which are cataloged in its Clip Organizer) and Pictures from File (which just need to be inserted from a folder on a drive).

We also discussed some of the issues involved in organizing our images and acquiring them from a scanner or digital camera. We noted the potential of the Photo Album add-in for instantly creating a slideshow with many images, and the relative pros and cons of getting images directly from a digital camera or scanner into PowerPoint.
