Using Layout Placeholders

The placeholders are already in the blank slide, but they're a bit different from the ones we revised. They're virtual placeholders because if they aren't filled in, they'll remain empty during the presentation. That is, the slide won't read “Click to add title” or “Click to add text” when you show it.

Click inside the title placeholder. Notice that the prompt disappears, and now you have a blank title area in which to immediately type. Type a new title and exit the placeholder. Remember: Don't type a carriage return; simply click outside the placeholder.
