Selecting Your Chart Type

You'll learn from experience and trial and error which type of chart best represents your data. In fact, if you have a favorite, you can set it as the default type in the Chart Type dialog box, as shown in Figure 7.5.

For example, for plotting the results of antibiotics or other drugs over time, you might want a scattered line chart. If you do this frequently, you can make it a favorite or default chart type.
