Part: IV Using Outlook's Advanced Features > Working with Command Bars

Hour 16. Working with Command Bars

Toolbars and menus provide easy access to the commands you'll use with Outlook. These include the menu bar and the Standard and Advanced toolbars, along with context menus that become available when you right-click on folders and items. Although each Outlook folder and item uses similar commands, some commands are available only for certain items or folders.

You'll often discover that you use some menus and commands all the time and rarely use others. When this happens, you can create custom toolbars for your most used commands and hide the default menus or toolbars. You can even create custom toolbar buttons—usually to run macros you've created or to open files or folders you use the most.
