What Can't Outlook Do for Me?

Although Outlook is nicely integrated with the rest of Microsoft Office, it cannot take the place of other Office components. Outlook is not a word processor—although it seems to come close sometimes, and it does appear to have taken over the role of creating much routine office and personal correspondence. Outlook is more decidedly not a spreadsheet, database, or presentation manager. However, through OLE (object linking and embedding) and integration, Outlook gets along well with its Office siblings—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
