Part 8. Working with Office's Graphics Tools

Part 8. Working with Office's Graphics Tools

The Office programs share a lot of features, but many users aren't aware of the graphics tools available in each program. Each application enables you to add objects to your files, such as clip art, shapes, WordArt, and more. You can dress up a Word document or a PowerPoint slide with a piece of clip art from the Microsoft Clip Gallery, for example. You can insert an image file from another program into your Outlook e-mail message. You can draw your own shapes to include in Excel charts or PowerPoint slides. All these various types of items are considered objects that can be manipulated in your Office programs.

In this part, you'll learn how to use the Office graphics tools to enhance your documents, worksheets, database tables and forms, slides, and more. You'll also learn how to draw basic shapes, insert pictures and clip art, create a WordArt image, and manipulate and format graphics objects. Don't be intimidated by the thought of creating and adding visual objects to your files. The Office graphics tools make it easy to illustrate any Office item you create.
