Hour 15. Animating Your Presentations > Customizing Your Own Animation

Customizing Your Own Animation

In the previous section, you saw that PowerPoint comes equipped with numerous animations that apply themselves to various slide elements. For example, you can select animations that wipe the title onto the screen from the left, bring the details from the bottom, and fade the background graphics into view.

You don't have to use these pre-designed animations. You can specify your own with PowerPoint's Custom Animation feature. In other words, if you want the bulleted details of your slide to each appear individually, fading in from a diamond shape, you can instruct PowerPoint to produce that effect.
