Using Filters to Clarify the Calendar View

When a project has many overlapping tasks, the Calendar view can quickly become very cluttered. As previously discussed, you can zoom in to see more detail, but you can also use filters to reduce the list of tasks that display at one time.

A filter limits the display of tasks to just those that match the defined criteria. For example, you can have Project display only the critical tasks in the project by applying the Critical filter. You might display tasks that a specific resource is working on by applying the Using Resource filter. When the project is underway and you want a record of what has been accomplished so far, use the Completed Tasks filter.
