Q&A

Q1:I split the screen to look at the Gantt Chart and the Task Form. Now I want to look at one of the other views, but I want it to fill the screen. Is there a quick way to do that?
A1: Glad you asked! If you have a combination view on the screen and want to display a new view as a full-screen view, just hold down the Shift key as you click the View icon on the View Bar (or as you select the view from the View menu). Similarly, if you have a full-screen view and would like to add another view in the lower pane, do the same thing: hold down the Shift key as you select the new view and it appears in the bottom pane.
Q2:If you delete a column in the table on the left side of the Gantt Chart, do you lose all that data?
A2: No, the data is secure. Deleting a column merely removes the display of that field from the current view; it doesn't delete the information.
Q3:I dragged the vertical divider bar over to see more columns. How do I get my timeline back?
A3: A common problem. Drag the mouse slowly toward the right side of the screen. When the mouse is over the divider bar, the pointer shape will change to two vertical parallel lines with arrows pointing right and left. You won't be able to drag the divider bar back to the left unless the mouse pointer changes to the appropriate shape.
