Lesson 5. Getting Help > Getting Help Without the Assistant

Getting Help Without the Assistant

If you prefer, you can turn off the Assistant feature and access Outlook Help in a more conventional manner. Click the Assistant and on the Assistant Balloon click Options. On the Options tab deselect the check box that says Use the Office Assistant. The Assistant will be removed from the Outlook window. Now you're ready to get help from Outlook without going through the Assistant. Click the Help menu; then click Microsoft Outlook Help. The Help window appears and explains different ways to get help in Outlook.

Click the Show button on the top left of the Help window. The window expands and three tabs appear—Contents, Answer Wizard, and Index.
