Lesson 23. Working with Multiple Documen... > Saving Multiple Documents

Saving Multiple Documents

When you're working with multiple documents, you save an individual document (as you learned in Lesson 4) by selecting File from the menu of the document you want to save, and then choosing either Save or Save As. To save all open documents in one step, hold down Shift while selecting File; Save then becomes Save All. If you attempt to close a document that has not been saved, you are prompted to save it. If you try to quit Word with one or more unsaved documents, you are prompted to save each document, one by one.
