Inserting a Link

If you're working on a document, you can insert a link by simply typing its address and allowing Word to automatically identify it (as previously described). An easier way is to use the Insert Hyperlink command. You can link to Internet files, Word documents, and various other types of files as follows:

  1. Select the text that you want displayed as the hyperlink.

  2. Select Insert, Hyperlink or press Ctrl+K. The Insert Hyperlink dialog box appears (see Figure 25.2).
