Inserting a Special Character

To insert a special character in your document, use the following steps:

  1. Click Insert, Symbol to open the Symbol dialog box.

  2. Click the Special Characters tab to display the special characters list, as shown in Figure 19.2.

  3. Look through the list of special characters for the one you want.

  4. To insert a highlighted character, select Insert. To insert any character in the list, double-click it. The inserted character might be hidden from view by the dialog box.

  5. Click the Cancel button to close the dialog box without inserting a character. Click Close to close the dialog box after you insert a character.
