Lesson 22. Transitions and Animation > Adding Animation Effects

Adding Animation Effects

While transitions affect an entire slide, effects apply to individual elements on the slide. For instance, you might want the slide's background and title to appear first (using a transition), and then have the individual items on a bulleted list appear, one at a time, beneath the heading.

Note

Animation When most people think of animation, they think of cartoons, but PowerPoint uses "animation" to mean the movement onscreen that acts as a transition from one object or slide to the next.
