Finding and Fixing Errors in the Program

A new feature in Office 2000 is Detect and Repair. It can identify problems with your copy of PowerPoint, such as a damaged program file or corrupted driver, and repair the problem using your original Office 2000 or PowerPoint 2000 disk. This repair process can take a long time (30 minutes or more), so don't perform it unless you suspect problems.

If PowerPoint starts behaving strangely, the best thing to do is close PowerPoint and restart Windows. If you are still having trouble, follow these steps:
