Working with AutoShapes

Drawing a complex shape with the rudimentary tools available to you can be frustrating. That's why PowerPoint comes with several predrawn objects, called AutoShapes, that you can use. To draw one of these objects, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the AutoShapes button on the Drawing toolbar. A menu of shape types appears.

  2. Click the type of shape you want. For example, if you want an arrow, choose Block Arrows. The AutoShapes palette appears for that type of shape, as shown in Figure 15.2
