Lesson 27. Designing a Presentation for ... > Saving a Presentation in HTML Format

Saving a Presentation in HTML Format

PowerPoint has the capability to save a presentation in HTML format, so it can be viewed using any Web browser. Since all World Wide Web users have Web browser programs, no one need miss out on your presentation.

The quality of the translation has improved considerably in PowerPoint 2000 over previous PowerPoint versions. PowerPoint 2000 saves in a Web format that allows your sounds, movies, animations, and other special effects to be seen just as you intended, provided the person viewing the presentation has a capable Web browser (Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher is best.) With other Web browsers, not all special effects may appear, but at least the basic presentation (the slide text and graphics) will be shown.
