Lesson 11. Adding Text to a Slide > Creating a Text Box

Creating a Text Box

As you have learned in previous lessons, you can put text on a slide by typing text in Outline view or filling in the placeholders on an AutoLayout (see Lesson 8, "Changing a Presentation's Look"). However, these methods both provide fairly generic results. If you want to type additional text on a slide, you must first create a text box.

Note

Text Box A text box acts as a receptacle for the text. Text boxes often contain bulleted lists, notes, and labels (used to point to important parts of illustrations).
