Passwords

Your first line of defense in securing your workstation and mail from unauthorized people is your password. When you access the Domino server the first time, you start a Notes session, which prompts you to enter your password For security reasons, neither you nor anyone else can see what you are typing—all you see are X's.

Your password can be any combination of keyboard characters, as long as the first character is a letter of the alphabet. The number of characters in your password is determined when your Notes ID (User ID) is created by your Domino administrator. Because passwords are case-sensitive, the password "INFONUT" is different from the password "infonut."
