Lesson 24. Customizing Outlook > Other Options Dialog Box Tabs

Other Options Dialog Box Tabs

The Options dialog box also contains three additional tabs that control other features associated with Outlook. Each tab is listed as follows with a description of the settings available.

  • The Spelling tab allows you to change settings associated with Outlook's spell checker. You can choose to have the speller always suggest replacements for misspelled words, always check spelling before sending, and ignore words in uppercase. You can also pick the language of the dictionary.

  • The Internet E-mail tab allows you to set the coding scheme for Internet email attachments. Settings are also available that have Outlook check periodically on your network for new email messages.

  • The Security tab allows you to set options regarding whether or not outgoing messages should be encrypted or have digital signatures attached to them. There is also an option that allows you to get a digital ID to use for your outgoing messages.
