Lesson 24. Customizing Outlook > Setting Outlook Options

Setting Outlook Options

You can set all of Outlook's options by using the Options dialog box. (To open the Options dialog box, select Tools, Options.) This dialog box has seven tabs: Preferences, Mail Services, Mail Format, Spelling, Security, Other, and Internet E-mail. Each tab controls a specific category of Outlook's settings. For example, the Other tab, shown in Figure 24.1, controls General options, such as the Deleted Items Folder, AutoArchive, and Preview Pane options.

Figure 24.1. The Options dialog box gives you control over all the various features of Outlook 98.
