Entering Recurring Tasks

If you have an activity such as a regularly scheduled meeting that you want to include in the task list, you can create a recurring task. Project asks you how often the task will occur and to indicate how long it will last each time. Project then schedules each of the occurrences and creates a summary task for the series of events. If you show the subtasks for this new summary task, you can see each event is a separate task. Instead of a continuous bar for the summary task, each of the individual events is rolled up to display on the summary task row. Figure 3.7 shows a weekly project meeting scheduled at the top of the intranet project. Note the circular icon in the indicator column for this task.
