Working with Hyperlinks in Tasks and Resources

In addition to being able to save your project as an HTML document, Microsoft Project 98 includes several hyperlink fields that allow you to navigate to another document or Web site from a task or resource in your project. For example, suppose you have developed a task checklist in Microsoft Word that includes all the detailed processes for a task in your project. You can add a hyperlink to the task, so that when you click on it, you go directly to the task checklist.

Adding a Hyperlink

It's fairly easy to add a hyperlink to a task, resource, or assignment from any view. However, it's easiest to use the hyperlink if you display a view that has an indicator column so you can simply click on the hyperlink indicator icon to jump to the hyperlink target. In this example, I will be adding a hyperlink to a task using the Gantt Chart view.
