Working with Cost Reports

In addition to the Task and Resource Usage views, there are several predefined reports in Project 98 that print resource-related information. One group of reports focuses on cost and the budget breakdowns for the project (see Figure 15.4). Tracking project costs over time, and budgeting accordingly, is usually a key management concern. Also, Project 98 computes and prints cost totals in the cost reports. The Cash Flow report, for example, shows total costs allocated in a time period, as well as the total cost of each task over the entire project.

All reports supplied with Project 98 contain certain default settings. To make changes to the default settings for a report, see the section "Customizing the Standard Reports" later on in this Hour.
