6.4. Creating and Using Bibliographies

A bibliography is generated from bibliographic entries that you insert into a bibliography database associated with the document or directly into the document itself. Creating a bibliography involves these steps:

  1. Create a bibliographic database.

  2. Create entries in the bibliographic database.

  3. Change the fields in the bibliographic database.

  4. Insert bibliographic references (citations) into text.

  5. Define the format of references and the bibliography.

  6. Generate or regenerate the bibliography.
