Chapter 14. Secure Reviewing and Reporting > Routing and Signing the Document

Routing and Signing the Document

Erin has done a lot of work to complete the document. She prepared and edited several versions of the draft before even starting the PDF review. Now that she’s finished a formal review, integrated the changes in the document, and added her certifying signature, she’s ready to send it.

Acrobat 7 Professional doesn’t provide a wizard for routing an approval process. Instead, Erin will e-mail it to Brian, who will e-mail it to Serena, who will then send it on to John. John will send it back to Erin so she can forward it to the attorney. When the recipients get the file and open it in Acrobat, they’ll read through it and then sign it. They can also add comments to the file if they need to, as Erin allowed for them in the certification process.
