Chapter 8. Making Accessible Documents i... > Diane’s Read-Me Instruction File

Diane’s Read-Me Instruction File

As a final step in preparing some sample documents to present to the Helping Hands board of directors in her quest to make accessible documents the norm for the organization, Diane decides to prepare a read-me file she can post on the organization’s Web site. The file is intended to show users how they can set up Acrobat 7 and Adobe Reader 7 to more closely meet their needs using the Accessibility Setup Assistant, a wizard composed of a sequence of screens in a dialog used to configure a collection of program settings.

In earlier versions of Acrobat, many of the accessibility settings were available, but they were not easy to find because they were located in a number of different panels of the Preferences dialog. In version 7 of the programs, all these settings have come together into one wizard, which is much simpler to use.
