Modifying Articles

Diane didn’t make any errors in her article construction. Your results may vary. You can use any of the following methods to modify or adjust the articles as you are constructing them in your project:

  • Select an article box and drag the handles on its margins to resize it. You’ll see the original size of the article box as well as the size it becomes when you release the mouse (Figure 8.35). You can also select an article box and drag it to another location on the page. An article box floats over the page and displays whatever page content shows within the box’s margins.

Figure 8.35. Resize or move any article box on your document page.

  • Right-click/Control-click the article to open the shortcut menu, and then choose either Box or Article to delete a single box or an entire article thread. If you delete a box, the remaining boxes in the article thread are renumbered; if you delete an article, the remaining articles are renumbered.

  • To add a box to an article, click the article box displayed just before the point where you want to add one (for example, if you wanted to add a new box to a thread after the box numbered 4-1, you would just click box 4-1, as shown in Figure 8.36). Then, click the plus sign at the bottom of the selected box. A prompt dialog opens. Click OK and drag a marquee to create a new article box. The article thread is automatically renumbered (Figure 8.37).

Figure 8.36. Select the article box you want to follow with a new article box.

Figure 8.37. Adding article boxes to a thread renumbers the set of boxes automatically.
