Chapter 4. Creating an Interactive Map > What Else Can She Do?

What Else Can She Do?

This brings Amanda’s Acrobat adventure to a close. There are many ways she can enhance the presentation further. She might like to embed video or Flash movies into the map, like the Flash movie used in Chapter 5’s project. She might decide to attach sound to play when the user opens the page (learn how to control page actions in Chapter 5 as well). Or, as an alternative, she might create buttons to control one or more pieces of music the user can listen to. She could also add more links from the map to other pages on her site or to other Web sites of interest to her users. She might also like to add a special link her users can click to send her e-mail directly from the map’s page, using the same method as the e-mail bookmark used in the project that appears on the book’s Web site in Bonus Chapter 1.

There’s more she can do with the Mouse Enter and Mouse Exit triggers as well. For instance, she could use a faded version of the map in its own button that displays when the user moves his or her mouse over any of the hotspot buttons, or she could add other buttons that serve as backgrounds for the image pop-ups.
