Creating a PDF from a PowerPoint Presentation

Joe and Jim use a PowerPoint presentation running in a loop as part of their dog show booth display. They could work from within Acrobat to convert the presentation (see the sidebar “Taking the Long Way” for further information). However, since they only want to incorporate three of the presentation’s slides in the sales presentation, it’s easier to work from PowerPoint and use its PDFMaker for the conversion.

When you install Acrobat 7, the program also installs menus and toolbars in Microsoft Office programs. These plugins, called PDFMakers, have some settings particular to the type of program they are installed into as well as collections of common settings shared by the Adobe PDF printer, Acrobat Distiller, and Acrobat.
