Chapter 16. PDF Files and the Web > Editing PDFs Online

Editing PDFs Online

You can edit PDFs within a Web browser, just as you would with Acrobat. This is especially useful when you're collaborating on work, because several people can add comments to the same document, and see one anothers' comments as well.

Be aware, however, that you can't edit just any old PDF that your browser displays. The PDF must be hosted on a server that's properly configured, which is beyond the scope of this book. Consult your network administrator if you need to set up PDFs for online editing, and refer to Chapters 7, 8, and 9 for more on commenting and reviewing.
