Chapter 6. Making PDFs Easy to Navigate

Acrobat has several features—Bookmarks, Articles, and Links—that make it easy for readers to find what they're looking for in a PDF. Many PDF authors add bookmarks to their documents to provide the reader quick access to specific passages—a capability that can be indispensable in multipage documents. You can also customize a bookmark to display a page at a certain magnification or direct the reader's attention to a specific part of the page.

Articles in Acrobat let you take a user through your document in the typical column-like style of magazines and newspaper articles. Using the Article feature makes viewing a sequential article much easier. The Article command will guide the reader through the PDF exactly the way you choose.
