Chapter 10. Forms

Interactivity. That's what electronic publishing is all about. The 1980s vision of a paperless society is still pretty far off for several reasons. One of those reasons in the past has been that electronic media have had no really good means of collecting feedback. Users have not been able to input information in a way that imitates using a pen or pencil to fill out paper forms. That situation is changing, and Acrobat's forms capabilities are evidence.

Forms allow people who view a document with Acrobat, or Adobe Reader, to fill in text fields, choose options, click buttons, and even send information over the Internet automatically.
