Chapter 15. Automating Acrobat

Chapter 15. Automating Acrobat

Much of the work involved in creating and editing PDFs and preparing them for distribution is repetitive; you may find yourself opening a series of TIFF files to save as PDFs, or enabling a group of PDFs for commenting in Reader. Also, you may often need to run the same operation on several PDFs at the same time. For instance, you may want to print the first page of every PDF in one folder.

Acrobat's batch processing will let you automate such tasks, relieving you of the tedium. And it will let you combine several commands into a single step, such as removing all file attachments, exporting all images, and embedding page thumbnails.
