Chapter 2. Acrobat In Depth > Selecting Images

Selecting Images

The Select tool lets you click on any image and copy it, exactly analogous to the Select tool. If you click on an image, the Select tool selects the entire image, as you would expect. If you click and drag within an image, the tool will select and copy only the area you select.

To select and copy images

1.
Choose the Select tool in the Basic toolbar.

2.
With the Select tool, click the image that you would like to select (Figure 2.16).

When you release the mouse button, the selected area is highlighted in gray and a pop-up button appears (Figure 2.17).

4.
Click on Copy to Clipboard.

The graphics selection is copied to the Clipboard and available for pasting into another application.
