Chapter 1. Acrobat Basics > Viewing a PDF File

Viewing a PDF File

Acrobat gives you several options for viewing a PDF. You can view a document without the toolbar and menus, for instance.

To view the document only

1.
Choose Full Screen from the Window menu (Ctrl+L/Command+L).

Everything but the currently open document will be hidden, including the Acrobat menu bar and any application windows (Figure 1.40).

Figure 1.40. In Full Screen mode, your document stands alone.

2.
To exit Full Screen mode, press the Esc key (or Ctrl+L/Command+L).

The document will be restored to its previous display, with all the menus, windows, and toolbars.
