Opening and Closing PDF Files

Opening and closing PDF files is straightforward. You can open files whether Acrobat is running or not. As in most applications, there are a number of ways to open and close documents. This section covers my preferred methods.

To open a PDF file from within Acrobat

  • Choose Open from the File menu (Ctrl+O/Command+O) to display the Open dialog box; then select the PDF you want to open and click the Open button (Figure 1.39).

    Figure 1.39. Choose the file you want to open and click Open.


    The file opens.
