TouchUp Reading Order

TouchUp Reading Order

You can use the TouchUp Reading tool to change the reading order of a PDF document. The tool is relatively easy to use. You drag a rectangle around the area you want to change and choose the type of text in the TouchUp Reading Order dialog box. To adjust the Reading order, the PDF document must first be tagged. For more on tagging your document, see the previous section.

To TouchUp the Reading order of a PDF

1.
Open the PDF for which you want to specify a different reading order.

2.
Choose Advanced > Accessibility > TouchUp Reading Order.

The TouchUp Reading Order dialog box opens (Figure C.15).

3.
Draw a rectangle around the content you want to change, then click one of the buttons in the dialog box. This sets the tag for the selection, for example, you could select text and define it by clicking the Text button. In the Order pane (which you access by choosing View > Navigation Tabs > Order), you can change the order in which the document is read simply by dragging pages to rearrange their order (Figure C.16).
