Exploring on your own: Acrobat's prepress features

1.
Print one copy of the English language version of the newsletter, and one copy of the foreign language version. Use the Layers pane to switch between these layers before printing. Use the layers to print text-only versions of the document, or to print only the graphics.

2.
Open the Transparency Flattener Preview window and test various settings to determine how increasing the amount of Raster or Vector content impacts different portions of the document. Try these same settings when printing, and note that when more vectors are used, the print time increases. But these settings generally provide a higher quality output.

3.
Create a custom preflight profile to identify if fonts are not built into a PDF document. Also create a preflight profile to identify images below 200 pixels per inch.
