Merging documents

You will start by combining three separate Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawing files into one single PDF file. Sharing these files as PDF allows those who do not have specialized design software to view the drawings. Rather than having users open three separate files, all the files they need will be placed in one document.

1.
Choose File > Open and navigate to the Lesson13 folder. Choose the file rear.pdf and click the Open button.

2.
Click the Pages tab along the left side of the document window, or choose View > Navigation Tabs > Pages.

3.
In the Pages panel, choose Options > Insert Pages. The Select File to Insert window appears.

4.
If necessary, navigate to the Lesson13 folder. Click once to select the file side.pdf. Ctrl-click (Windows) or Command-click (Mac OS) the floorplan.pdf file. Both the side.pdf and the floorplan.pdf file should be selected.

5.
Click the Select button. The Insert Pages window opens.

6.
In the Insert Pages window, confirm the pages are being inserted After Page 1, then click OK.

7.
The PDF file now includes three pages showing different views of the building project.
