Review answers

A1: Layers come from the authoring program, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, Adobe Illustrator, or Adobe InDesign. They are created in these programs and exported as a component of the PDF at the time the PDF file is generated. Layers are not added to a PDF file using Acrobat, but you can merge multiple layers together and edit attributes of the layers, including whether they are visible or print.
A2: Acrobat Professional includes both a Loupe tool to focus on smaller portions of a document, and a Pan & Zoom window to easily change the focus of the document window. The Crop tool can be used to remove unnecessary borders around the perimeter of a document.
A3: Because the Cloud Annotation tool does not use any straight lines the comments it creates are more visible on documents containing many straight lines. You can change the properties of these comments to adjust the color, thickness, opacity, and cloud style to make them even more visible in your documents.
