Lesson 7. Modifying PDF Files > Setting an opening view

Setting an opening view

Lastly you'll set the initial view of the brochure to make sure that your brochure always opens at the cover page with the entire page displayed. If you were working with a longer document or a complex technical document, you might prefer to have the document open with the bookmarks displayed automatically to help the user navigate the document.

You should always set the opening view of a PDF document for your users, including the opening page number and magnification level, and whether bookmarks, page thumbnails, the toolbar, and the menu bar are displayed. You can change any of these settings to control how the document displays when it is opened.
