Adding sound

Your brochure is almost finished. Just to add a distinguishing touch, you'll add a page action. You'll add a sound that plays when the first page of the PDF file opens.

1.
In the Pages tab, select the page thumbnail for the cover page, the page i thumbnail.

2.
With the page thumbnail selected, right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS) and choose Page Properties from the context menu.

3.
In the Page Properties dialog box, click the Actions tab.

4.
Choose Page Open from the Select Trigger menu.

5.
Choose Play a Sound from the Select Actions menu, and click Add. (You may need to scroll down the Select Actions menu to see all the options available.)

6.
In the Select Sound File dialog box, select the bell.wav file and click Select.

7.
Click Close to apply the action to the page.

The bell will chime every time you return to the cover page in the PDF file.

8.
Choose File > Save to save your work, and then choose File > Close to close the file.

You can check your sound effect by re-opening the file.

9.
Choose File > Open, and open the CustCare1.pdf file. If your system is configured correctly, you should hear the door bell as the brochure opens. If your brochure didn't open to the cover page, click the First Page button on the status bar to move to the cover page and hear the sound.
