Lesson 14. Creating PDF Forms > Converting paper forms to PDF forms

Converting paper forms to PDF forms

With Acrobat you can create electronic forms or convert your paper forms to Adobe PDF files. You will start by opening a paper form that has already been scanned for you, and you will convert it to an Adobe PDF document. You will then add fields to the document, using Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional, to turn the file into an interactive form.

1.
Choose File > Create PDF > From File. Navigate to the Lesson14 folder and locate the file info_start.tif.

2.
Click Open.

Note

If an alert window opens referencing the Picture Tasks button, simply click the OK button to close the window.

3.
After the document appears, choose File > Save. Name the file info.pdf and save it in the Lesson14 folder.

4.
Choose Tools > Advanced Editing > Show Advanced Editing Toolbar to access the tools for creating an electronic form.
