Lesson 14. Creating PDF Forms > Creating an electronic order form

Creating an electronic order form

By adding form fields to existing PDF documents you make them interactive and allow for data capture. Here you will use a form that was created using Adobe InDesign CS—but it could have been created using any other software package—and then converted to PDF. You'll be adding interactivity and the ability to capture the form data using Acrobat 7.0 Professional.

1.
Choose File > Open and navigate to the Lesson14 folder. Choose the file order_start.pdf.

2.
To see what the finished file looks like, navigate to the Lesson14 folder and select the file order_end.pdf, then click Open.

3.
When you have finished examining the completed file, you can keep the file open for reference while you work or you can close the file by choosing File > Close.

4.
If necessary, choose Tools > Advanced Editing > Show Forms Toolbar to access the Forms Toolbar and its tools for creating electronic forms.
