Exploring on your own: Converting emails and email folders in Microsoft Outlook

If you use Microsoft Outlook as your email program, you can convert individual emails, selected emails, or folders of emails into easily archivable and searchable PDF files. If you receive more messages that belong in a converted folder or an email thread, you can convert these messages and attach them to the existing PDF file for the email folder or thread.

1.
In Microsoft Outlook, select a folder and then click the Convert Selected Folder to PDF button.

2.
In the Save Adobe PDF File As dialog box, choose a name and location for the PDF file that you are about to create, and then click Save.

A progress box shows the conversion and the file opens in Acrobat.

You can use the bookmarks in the bookmarks tab to quickly locate a specific email, or you can use the Acrobat Search or Find feature.

3.
After you have explored this feature, exit both Microsoft Outlook and Acrobat.
