About PDFMaker

PDFMaker, which is installed automatically when you install Acrobat, is used to create Adobe PDF files from within Microsoft applications. Convert to Adobe PDF buttons and an Adobe PDF menu are added automatically to the Microsoft toolbars and menu bars. You use this Adobe PDF menu and these buttons to control the settings used in the conversion to Adobe PDF, to email your PDF file, and to set up an email review process without ever leaving your Microsoft application. For complete information on which Microsoft applications are supported and which versions of the Microsoft applications are supported, visit the Adobe website (www.adobe.com).

PDF files created using PDFMaker are often substantially smaller than the source file. (Complex Excel files may be an exception.)
