    • To move an event to a new date and/or time, set the calendar to any view that shows the destination date/time, and drag the event to it.

    • To extend or shorten the time period for an event, click the event and—when the pointer changes to a double-headed arrow—drag up or down.

  • To delete an event you no longer need, select the event in the calendar and click the Delete toolbar icon, choose Edit > Delete Event, press , or press . You can also delete any event that is open for editing by performing any of these actions except pressing .

    • If the event is a recurring event, you'll be given an option to delete only this occurrence or all occurrences (Figure 4.17).

Figure 4.17. When deleting a recurring event, you must indicate whether you wish to delete only the selected occurrence or the entire series.

    • If the event is nonrecurring, you must click Delete in response to the confirmation dialog box that appears (Figure 4.18).
